Non-selective deposit feeders 



Non-selective deposit feeders are animals living deep within the sediments beneath the water surface. They use reduced layers and ingest indiscriminately sediments from which they extract organic matter (microorganisms, benthic meiofauna, bacteria). They mainly concern sedentary polychaetes.
